DMP Theme or Guiding Question

Where do we find truth? Information and truth can be found in ourselves, the world, other people, the internet, God, etc. We will highlight this question by exploring how and why we turn to various types of media based on the questions we are asking. We want to explore how media is used for both good and bad. Also, we want to look at how we use media individually (audiobooks, videos, soundscape, podcasts, art). We want to highlight various perspectives--both of individuals, and based on the media source itself. When we look for truth, is that isolating us or informing us? Does it make us feel connected or disconnected? If we feel connected, who is it to, or what is it to? If we feel disconnected, why is that? Is it because we are “connected” to people we don’t actually know? Does that make the media a pro or a con? We will share our own experiences with media consumption and find ways of sharing how our consumption vs. creation/production have changed over time (the semester--coronavirus). Look at 10 Most Significant Media from the beginning of the semester and see how it’s changed by now at the end of the semester.
