7 Tech Processes Goals

1. Experiment and familiarize myself with 1 new technology tool or app each month.
2. Create a personal blog to start practicing and trying new techniques that I could apply in my classroom someday.
3. Create an archive of screencast instructions that students can access at any time. They can be videos/screencasts of classroom procedures, specific class assignments, etc.
4. Implement a few flipped lessons into class curriculum, in order to engage in more meaningful activities and practices in class.
5. Don't be afraid of failure! Enjoy the process and have fun experimenting with new things!

  1. Abby, I love these goals! Some of mine are pretty similar to yours and I am excited to incorporate technology in this way into the classroom. I especially like the idea of creating a few flipped lessons in an English classroom. I think those could be particularly useful for grammar mini lessons, helping absent students make up work, and just changing the routine of the classroom. One concern however, is making sure every student has access to this technology so they can be prepared for class. Have you thought about how you'll make sure students have access outside of class? I'm looking for ideas myself!

  2. Abigail,
These are great goals! Like we talked about in class today, it's important to find a balance that is healthy to you so that you are learning and growing, but also staying sane! I'm so glad that you found small snippets of things that you think will be helpful to you! I encourage you to find some way to keep yourself accountable and to make a record of what you learn (like your blog goal!) You got this :)
